The old woman is walking slowly.

The ice cream is really tasty.

("very" modifies the adverb "slowly";"very" 修飾副詞 "slowly" )

一般來說,副詞是把 "ly" 兩個字母加在形容詞的最尾。

(3) Types of Adverbs 副詞的類別 :2 n4 B+ Y% I. O" k4 r0 W  k9 w3 l

(a) Adverbs of Time (時間副詞)
7 m  `' V; q% q0 [8 }+ Y$ dTo describe "the time" that the action starts or finishes.
5 W$ @6 ]/ P1 m, \# a時間副詞是描述動詞發生或完成的時間。. t  k" Y, d  U- h& }$ k! x0 M
For example 例如:/ _# O0 l$ A2 |" W/ N2 A
I do the homework today.
/ b+ F7 c; b1 ?* H8 m1 cMy auntie visited us two weeks ago.
0 g/ e, I8 b. r
* X% N) t' h9 S( h! n! M; e3 j(b) Adverbs of Place (地方副詞) $ H9 ?) I; G. \1 q9 n
To describe "the place" that the action happens.+ p7 b$ w8 Z' O+ B# h0 M9 ^
地方副詞是描述動作進行的地點。6 ]1 b5 ^1 l9 R# r9 Z2 t, ^& G; j
For example 例如:
1 q0 ]' N; I# r5 H9 d  n  lThe bus stops here. / b* R5 F2 U7 P# X8 u3 R$ e1 }
They live there.

" r6 C( u* r$ m9 M7 f# M1 u7 x(c) Adverbs of Frequency/Number (頻率/數目副詞)
* Z, K1 k+ e+ ?* k- {9 kTo talk about "how often" or the "number of times" that the action happens.$ o5 D3 y0 |# T1 ^5 [! i' ^: d/ I5 c
數目副詞是形容動作發生的次數。

' N+ v0 ?/ {0 X5 q1 GI cut my hair once a month. 8 L& A9 ?6 ~) ^* u8 R* r
We seldom eat at fast food shops., \7 Q; y1 T9 f

To describe "how" the action happens.
; @9 R- N5 e2 |5 o1 d. v7 F態度副詞是形容動作如何進行。9 J5 l& W+ |4 _& x6 `. `
For example 例如:
' ~1 W( b/ E0 l5 |- N; mMy grandma walks slowly. ) b( k; W7 d" C
The baby is sleeping quietly. " l) \% G6 R0 {$ |) M% l3 L
, M$ t) d9 T' b$ l( X7 g& G( [
(e) Adverbs of Degree (程度副詞)   I( t: x# c2 o% G+ L2 b$ Y
To describe the degree or extent that the action happens.
! W' r2 Y& C. b1 C/ Q程度副詞是形容動作的程度或影響限度是怎樣的。- b* J, S# @: A
For example 例如:
$ J4 S, y. `1 M* K8 d! I) P0 _Miss Hong Kong of this year is really beautiful. 6 L' J4 f& Y# E" h4 x, j2 @
What did you enjoy doing most?
1 g; L' |8 T; k% s) T& p" r) F
. |, y& }1 q2 i$ o(f) Interrogative Adverbs (疑問副詞)
$ t5 ?7 D5 E* \) W* ?8 zThese are adverbs that we use in a question.) Y- q3 p0 y5 m3 W( b
疑問副詞是用在問題裡的副詞。+ H9 s- @* `* J) k
For example 例如:
